THOUSAND OAKS — Compass Charter Schools (CCS) is proud to announce that fourth grade scholar Natasha Castrejon from Norwalk will perform as a member of the Voice of Hope Choir on NBC’s America’s Got Talent. She is set to appear on the episode airing tomorrow, Tuesday, August 21 at 8 pm PST.
“Congratulations, Natasha! I am so excited for her and truly proud of all of her hard work,” said Wendy Sotille, Educational Facilitator. “It is an absolute joy to support Natasha and her family during their homeschooling journey. Natasha is a very hard working scholar who is passionate about academics and singing. Her eagerness to perform on national television demonstrates her innate sense of courage, confidence and undeniable talent. I wish her great success during the contest and will definitely be cheering her on.”
This will be Natasha’s first time appearing on America’s Got Talent and her first time on a national stage. She has been singing since she was a toddler and joined the Voices of Hope choir a year ago. Natasha enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, and of course, she enjoys singing. She is taking after her mother, who is a professional singer and performer, and she too hopes to become a professional performer as an adult.
“The entire CCS family is incredibly proud of Natasha for being part of America’s Got Talent and showcasing her singing talent,” said J.J. Lewis, CCS Superintendent & CEO. “ I know I speak for her fellow scholars, and all of our staff, in wishing her the best of luck in the competition. All of our scholars have amazing talents and it is great to see Natasha showcase hers on a national stage. We will all be watching and cheering her on!”
