Compass Charter Schools Crystal Villegas to Present at the Virtual Spring CUE

Thousand Oaks, CA – Compass Charter Schools Online Elementary Teacher Crystal Villegas will present on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) at the Virtual Spring CUE tomorrow, Saturday, March 21 at 3 pm on CUEinc Youtube channel and CUEinc Facebook account. SEL is learning how to develop self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills that are vital for school, work, and life success.

“CCS is thrilled that Crystal Villegas will be presenting at Spring CUE,” shares J.J. Lewis, CCS Superintendent & CEO. “Crystal has become quite the expert in SEL learning, recently being featured in Good Housekeeping magazine, starting her website and helping many of our teachers and students cope during this current crisis.”

Scholars with strong SEL skills are better able to cope with everyday challenges and benefit academically, socially, and professionally. They learn self-discipline, problem-solving skills, impulse control, and emotion management. SEL provides the groundwork for positive, lifelong effects on scholars.

“I’m so pleased to support this community of educators that has given so much to me,” shared Villegas. “We are all in uncharted territory and I hope to help others build resilience and wellness during these uncertain times.”

Spring CUE will be virtual-only, March 20-April 5, hosting over 5000 education-minded attendees at the annual event. Over 42 years of CUE institutional knowledge will be shared at Spring CUE. It is a celebration of inspiration and innovation from members, partners, exhibitors, and community members.
