Thousand Oaks, CA – The second week of May is National Teacher Appreciation Week and Compass Charter Schools (CCS) is celebrating its teachers, educational facilitators, and special education instructors who dedicate countless hours and resources to provide a quality educational experience for their scholars.
“I am truly grateful for the amazing teachers at Compass Charter Schools,” said J.J. Lewis, CCS President & CEO. “Every day they commit to supporting our scholars’ learning and development through personalized learning plans, live Learning Labs, one-on-one meetings, and so much more. I am thankful for their dedication to our scholars and their families. I speak on behalf of everyone here at Compass Charter Schools when I say that we are all very thankful for their hard work and commitment to guiding and supporting our scholars on their educational journey”
Today, teachers face a range of unique challenges and changes. They are tasked with the responsibility of providing a quality educational experience for children with limited school budgets and other resources. National Teacher Appreciation Week is a time to celebrate teachers’ hard work and raise awareness about the challenges they face.
“Teachers make a difference in the lives of millions of children every day,” said Erin Smith, Online Learning Manager. “Each day I witness the passion and dedication that teachers at Compass Charter Schools have for their scholars. They are fully committed to ensuring that their scholars received a quality, personalized learning experience that will help them succeed through each stage of life. I am so thankful for all of our wonderful teachers!”
CCS is a virtual independent study charter school serving scholars in grades TK-12. CCS and its teachers are dedicated to offering scholars throughout California access to quality online and homeschool educational programs to meet their busy schedules and unique needs.
“The Educational Facilitators at Compass Charter Schools are undeniably passionate about supporting families in our Options Program,” said Kristy Smith, Options Learning Manager. “They play an integral role in guiding our parents as they homeschool their children. I am so grateful for our Educational Facilitators and all that they do to support the scholars and families in our homeschool program.”
National Teacher Appreciation Week is a time to celebrate the importance of teachers and recognize the positive impact they have on children and their learning experience. During National Teacher Appreciation Week, CCS will present stories on their social media accounts from school staff, scholars and their families about their most memorable teachers. CCS will also host Parent Town Halls with the CEO and two Coffee with Compass events with teachers, scholars and their families to celebrate.
